The following picture illustrates the process of air sampling in a residence where a mold remediation was completed. The mold clearances are conducted by sampling indoor and outdoor )background) air for comparison.

Since mold is a naturally occurring organism, mold will always be found indoors everywhere on earth. When clearing a mold remediation job, the mold concentration should be - respectively comparable to outdoor (background) levels.
